Supermicro X5DA8 not detected (Examined/Solved - lm_sensors 2.6.3 Linux 2.4.18 SMP)

My new Supermicro X5DA8 with dual Xeon PIV/2.8 GHz processors have a SMBus and a

lot of sensors like voltage monitor, fan status, CPU temperature and so.

It is based on a Intel E7505 chipset.

Sensors-detect show no bus (i2c/SM) and no ISA devices

Is this Motherboard/chipset unsupported ?

--- don't know about the motherboard but not familiar with that chipset.

2.6.3 is very old, you should upgrade to 2.7.0 first.

If you find out what chip has the i2c bus master in it,

and we don't support it,

let us know and we can add it to our list of chips that need drivers

on our new driver page.
