Description

I have runed lm senesors for about 1 month and yesterday it's just f*cked :(

Reports wrong values for almost everything... Can't seem to fix it.

And the sound alarm sound all the time nonstop, seems to be no way to turn the

sound off than reboot the computer :(

How do i get the values to a correct reading?

+3.3V is showing over +6V

-12V is showing anything between +1.0V and +16V

and so on... --- No idea.

This may or may not be related to ticket #1659, although in that case

power-cycling the system would restore it to normal.

If it happened without you doing anything, well, the monitoring chip may simply

have died. If you did do something, up to you to remember what, we can't guess.

We recently learnt that on some systems, some BIOS parameters (such as PCI

Delayed Transaction) could have nasty effect on the hardware monitoring chips.

Maybe this is what happened to you. You may try reverting the BIOS settings to

the safest values and see if it helps.

At any rate it looks like a hardware or BIOS problem, so there's probably

nothing lm_sensors can do.
