Description

Hello everybody,

I have an Acer Ferrari 4005, and sensors-detect doesnt really find any sensors. When running sensors-detect, I get the followin output though: ... Probing for `Nat. Semi. PC87591 Super IO'

Success... but not activated

...

Any chance to get support for this one? I'm of course willing to test any (pre)release or give more information about the hardware.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Hello

Notebooks usually handle the temerature management with other special hardware. It is not good idea to interfere with it. In your case the temperature is monitored by embedded controller chip which is proprietary. If you want to see the temperature please use the "thermal" module from ACPI and use command: acpi -V

to see the temperature. Regards Rudolf
