Description

Hi,

I just installed Fedora 7 on a system with an Intel DP965LT motherboard and a Q6600 processor. I'm having trouble seeing info like fan speeds, etc. from within Fedora.

From the BIOS, I can see CPU/motherboard temperatures and fan speeds, so I think the hardware is sending the information, but I'd like to be able to see this information from within Fedora.

I went through the sensors-detect, etc. for lm_sensors, and installed the Gnome applet to view sensor data, but the only thing that shows up are the cpu temperatures. Same when I type "sensors" at the command prompt: it appears that only the "coretemps" ISA part is working.

Any ideas of what I can try to get other information, such as hard drive temp, fan speeds, etc.?

Thanks, Joe

Replying to juergh:

Install the latest version of the lm-sensors package and post the output of sensors-detect.

I've attached the output as a file.

Sensor-detect found nothing of interest. Maybe your machine makes use of the ICH8 integrated fan control features. We don't support that yet.
