Via EPIA Mini-ITX mother boards

Description

This could be a very silly question, but it's one that's been bugging me for a while.

I have some Via EPIA Mini-ITX motherboards. They are working great under ClarkConnect?, but The LM_Sensors just does not want to work.

Now various comments on the ClarkConnect? site have said effectively the chips on the EPIA boards are not supported in LM_Sensors, which I can live with as an explanation,

but

If I go to the Via site, I seem to see lots of nice support for Linux, certainly a lot more than I see on some other sites, so I am at a loss as to why the chips are not supported,

so I thought I'd come and ask the source as to what's happening with VIA. Have they up set some one ?

First of all, this ticket support system is not the right place for questions. Try the lm-sensors mailing list instead, you have a much higher chance to get answers from other users.

I don't have a VIA EPIA system myself, but I seem to remember that we had several users running those successfully. As you don't give any details, there's not much I can do to help you. "It doesn't work" is not enough. You'd need to describe in details what hardware you have, what version of lm-sensors you tried, what kernel you were running and what happened exactly.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
